    HSRF, a non-profit and non-political volunteer organization, was established with the purpose of serving the underprivileged and marginalized in society. Operating under the motto "Ignorance is the root of all evils and lack of progress," the organization addresses both mental and economic deficiencies. HSRF continues the legacy of enlightened individuals to advance human well-being for a sustainable future.

    • Need-based research, studies and survey specially on the socio-economic and ICT development to achieve the sustainable
    • Research to identify the weaknesses of the socio-economic development of the country to assist both the public and private sectors
    • Service to the humanity through intellectual and financial assistance & services in particular for the underprivileged
    • Helping the common people for resource mobilization and proper utilization of the same

    The mission of making underprivileged people self-educated and self-reliant is aimed at empowering them to break free from the cycle of poverty and dependence. By providing access to education, training, and resources, individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds can acquire the skills and knowledge needed to improve their own lives and communities. Through education and empowerment, they can become agents of change, contributing to the overall development of society and breaking down the barriers that have held them back in the past. By making underprivileged people self-educated and reliant, they will be able to break free from poverty and achieve greater independence, stability, and success in life.

    It is with great pleasure that we extend heartfelt greetings to the esteemed stakeholders who will be viewing the website of the Human Service & Research Foundation (HSRF). HSRF has been working on various research-related issues, including social problems, economic development, agro-economic development, ICT and inclusive development, financial inclusion, and environment and sustainable development, among others.

    The Human Service and Research Foundation (HSRF) is committed to improving the lives of the people in Bangladesh. It provides various human services aimed at enhancing their capacities and opportunities. Through its focus on skill development and empowerment, HSRF works towards uplifting the most marginalized and vulnerable communities. As an effective research institute, HSRF is dedicated to fostering innovation and promoting human services to help Bangladesh achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

    What we do

    The above mentioned missions of research and human services will be achieved by improving the level of functional education, training, motivation, financial assistance and finally by legal support through the missions as outlined below:
    • Educational and research programs:
      - Research programs will be conducted on poverty, socio-economic development, human services, human rights, resource development, ICT development, environmental issues and sustainable development.
      - Financial assistance to the poor students through Scholarship.
      - Non-formal education to the dropped-out children and adults.
      - Assistance in self-development through vocational training and education.
    • Health, Family Planning and Sanitation services:
      - Establishment of a Charitable dispensary.
      - Assist the government primary health care programs.
      - Prevention programs for AIDS/HIV/STD.
      - Motivation, health education, distribution of contraceptives and promotion of other related activities.
      - Motivation for the use of Safe water and water-sealed/sanitary latrine.
      - Supply of tube well and water-sealed latrine at a subsidized rate and for free to the poor.
    • Legal Aids/Consultation and Human Rights:
      - Making the people aware of their fundamental rights and obligations.
      - Keeping a vigilant eye on human right violations and taking necessary steps of alleviation.
      - The foundation will follow up such cases without any legal charge.
    • Training & Funding:
      - Foundation will conduct training programs for skill development followed by financial assistance through savings and credit.
    • Agricultural Program:
      - Program for new technology adoption.
      - Practice of agro-eco-farming.
    • Environmental Conservation Program:
      - Reforestation/Plantation.
      - Natural resource (forest, fuel, mineral) conservation.
      - Prevention of natural resource (land, water, air) pollution.

    Research

    HSRF conducts research programs on topics such as poverty, socio-economic development, human services, human rights, resource development, ICT development, environmental issues, and sustainable development.
